David has more than thirty seven (37) years of accounting experience specializing in tax planning, financial services, bankruptcy and litigation. While practicing with a “Big 4” international public accounting firm, he provided expert testimony and litigation services in connection with a variety of legal defense issues.  David joined KenWood & Associates, P.C. in 1995.  He currently serves as Vice-President of the Firm.

His extensive experience stems from an array of projects for closely held businesses and their owners including federal and state tax restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, valuations, financial services and investigations.  Working together with various tax attorneys, he has designed, implemented and provided compliance for financial structures that serve to reduce the overall tax burden of the business owner.

David graduated from Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and received his Certified Public Accountant certification in 1979.  Other certifications David has obtained include Personal Financial Specialist, Certified in Financial Forensics and Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor.  His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.

David and his wife Kelley reside in Sugar Land, Texas and are members of the St. Laurence Catholic Church.
